We are establishing a code freeze between November 25 and December 6. During this period we will only deploy critical fixes to our Shopify apps.

The idea behind a code freeze is to reduce the possibility of introducing bugs and unexpected system interactions that could cause problems during the peak holiday shopping days.

After December 6 we will resume deploying changes as usual.

For the last three years we have implemented a feature freeze during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday season. The primary goal is to maintain the stability of our app.

We've found that, after a certain point, most of the bugs we encounter stem from recent changes or additions to the app. By refraining from making any changes or introducing new features for a brief period, we can minimize the chances of disruptions and ensure smooth operation throughout the holiday season.

Our feature freeze will be in effect from the end of November 15th to November 29th, lasting for two weeks. During this period, we won't be releasing new features. However, please rest assured that we will address any critical problems or issues promptly to minimize disruptions to your business operations.

We've introduced a new metric to the Email Reports app: 'Shipping Discounts'. This lets you view discounts specifically applied to shipping for your orders.

We've added an optional setting for the top-selling product reports so you can see the Average Unit Retail (AUR) for each product on the report.

As a reminder, the Average Unit Retail is calculated by dividing the total sales for a product by the quantity of products sold in the specified time period.

A new metric titled 'Average Unit Retail' is now available in the email reports configuration. This metric represents the average selling price for items during a specified time period. It's calculated by summing up all sales and dividing by the number of items sold.

You can now monitor products that are about to go out of stock with the low inventory report for Abletar Email Reports. You can add this data to existing sales reports or create a dedicated report for low inventory.

The report is customizable and also includes the number of times the products have been sold recently.

Until now, the order count metric included all orders placed over the reporting period. This count included orders made solely for gift cards.

Starting today, we are updating the way we count orders. We will now be excluding orders that are exclusively for gift cards from the order count. This change is aimed to closely align our metrics with Shopify's reporting system.

In Shopify's reports, orders that are exclusively for gift cards aren't counted as a typical 'order'. Therefore, to maintain consistent and accurate reporting for our users, we decided to replicate this in our Email Reports App.

This update allows us to deliver more accurate data, closely mirroring Shopify's own metrics, providing you with the most reliable figures for your reporting needs.

We've updated the way we calculate refunds in our email reports to correctly exclude refunds that did not succeed. Most refunds process correctly but occasionally they'll fail. Prior to this fix some of the failed refunds were still being included in the calculations.

This affects the Return metric and all metrics that depend on it, like Net Sales or Total Sales.

We are establishing a code freeze between November 21 and November 30. During this period we will only deploy critical fixes. The idea is to reduce the possibility of introducing bugs and unexpected system interactions that could cause the service to be compromised during the peak days of the holiday season.

After November 30 we will resume deploying changes as usual.
