You can now filter variants by how far their price is below the compare-at price. For example, you can find everything that’s 30% off or more and add a tag to it, or find prices that are only a little under the compare-at price.
Before, the Price filter could tell you that a variant was on sale, but not by how much.
To use it, add a filter and choose Discount (% off compare-at price) in Variant Fields, or type “discount” to find it. The app calculates the discount for each variant, so a $70 variant with a $100 compare-at price is 30% off. Then pick a comparison:
>= 30finds variants that are 30% off or more.< 5finds variants that are less than 5% off. This also includes variants with no discount, where the price is equal to or above the compare-at price. To leave those out, add a second filter with> 0.< 0finds variants priced above their compare-at price.= 33.33matches the discount rounded to 2 decimals, so it finds a $2.00 variant with a $3.00 compare-at price.- is blank finds variants with no compare-at price (empty or 0). The number comparisons never match these variants.
The results only include the matching variants, so a price edit changes those variants and leaves the others alone. The filter uses the variant’s own price and compare-at price, not market or catalog prices.
You can use the filter in one-off edits, recurring edits, and rules, so a sale tag can follow the discount as prices change. Sidekick and AI search understand it too, so you can ask for “variants at least 30% off” in your own words.
