Set prices as Cost plus a fixed amount

4 August 2026

There’s a new option for editing prices and other number fields: Set as Cost plus amount. It takes each variant’s cost and adds a fixed amount to get the new value. If a variant’s cost is 12.50 and you enter 5, the new price is 17.50.

We already had Set as percent of Cost field, but a percentage markup gives you a different dollar margin on every product. This new option is for stores that price with a flat markup instead. Eg, cost plus 10 across the whole catalog.

The amount can be negative too, so you can set a value that sits a fixed amount below the cost.

Rounding works the same as the other cost and percent options, so you can still round the results to endings like .99 or to whole numbers. If the cost is not set for a variant, the existing value will be used.
