A handful of fixes and polish to the spreadsheet import flow, all aimed at making the upload-and-map step less fiddly:
- Reloading no longer loses your file. When you upload a spreadsheet to create products, the configure step keeps the file’s ID in the URL, so a refresh, the back button, or a re-opened tab lands you right back on your file with its column mapping intact.
- The column info icon is now a popover. Click it for the field’s name, the group it belongs to, and a “Formatting guide” button that opens the relevant help article. It only appears once a column has a field mapped.
- Long names stay tidy. Long field and column names truncate cleanly in both the edit and create configure tables instead of pushing the layout out of shape.
- Clearer create-product mapping. Unmapped rows are shaded so it’s obvious what still needs attention, and the column headers dropped their all-caps styling for easier reading.
- Fixed first-column auto-mapping. The very first column now auto-maps correctly when creating products from a spreadsheet.
- File upload history. Long file names truncate with a tooltip showing the full name on hover, and the table’s pagination controls are left-aligned to match the rest of the Shopify admin.
